ENTERING A NEW ERA OF AUTOMOBILE CULTURE
Since 1989, SIHA has been a pioneer in modern classic car exhibitions with Techno Classica Essen – as a trade centre, communication platform and meeting place for the international automotive scene. Together with exhibitors, visitors, media partners and enthusiasts, we have celebrated, shaped and developed a passion for automobiles over the past decades.
In this spirit, a new chapter will begin in 2026:
From 24 to 27 September 2026, the TECHNO CLASSICA SALON will open its doors for the first time – at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre.
New stage, proven values
The TECHNO CLASSICA SALON is the logical, well-thought-out further development of a successful format – with a focus on quality, internationality and sustainability. Under the new claim ‘The World Classic Car Salon’, a reputable, versatile and unique trading venue of world class is being created.
‘We love cars – and everyone can experience that with us,’ says SIHA project manager Janine Franssen. ‘With the new location, new date and an even more international concept, we are deliberately setting new trends – without forgetting our roots.’
Why Dortmund?
With its modern infrastructure, short distances and ideal transport connections, Messe Dortmund offers the perfect conditions. As the largest city in the Ruhr metropolitan region and a strong business location with over 20,000 companies, Dortmund is a central, lively place for the new format.

A look back with vision
What began with Techno Classica Essen – as a trade fair for tradition, innovation and education, as a platform for automotive culture, technology, design and history – is now being continued and reinterpreted at the TECHNO CLASSICA SALON.
